How are you currently involved with the i.d.e.a. Museum?
We are museum members, and I am also the director of the 4th Trimester Arizona Conference and monthly 4th Trimester Gatherings held for families at the i.d.e.a. Museum.
What is your fondest memory at the i.d.e.a. Museum?
Standing in the HUB March 2018 during the 4th Trimester AZ conference and being told again and again about all the connection and love that was happening for parents all around me.
How has the i.d.e.a. Museum directly impacted you or your family’s life?
The i.d.e.a. Museum is a relaxing and safe place for our family to have fun together. My kids always have a good time, and my husband Jeremy and I enjoy watching them play, as well as playing and making art ourselves! Memberships to the museum have also been my favorite gifts to give our nieces and nephews.
When my husband and I began thinking about the perfect venue for the first 4th Trimester Arizona Conference, I couldn’t get the i.d.e.a. Museum out of my head. The atmosphere in the museum is so beautiful, creative and loving. We were SO thrilled when Sunnee O’Rork was as excited about the conference as we were, and has been such a huge supporter of our work!
Who is your favorite artist and/or favorite piece of art? Why?
Flaming June by Frederick Leighton – I adore orange, and the way the light touches the subject in the painting is dazzling. It draws me in and lights me up every time I see it.
Do you have a favorite quote you can share with us?
There is a beautiful quote that always makes me tear up when I think of my children:
“No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.” – Kristen Proby
