MESA, Ariz. (Oct. 29, 2018) – The i.d.e.a. Museum will be open on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Visitors can enjoy creative activities during normal Sunday hours,
12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Military members are recognized for their service year-round at the museum. Active military personnel and veterans receive free admission with valid identification.

“Those who serve this country are incredibly important, and we’re proud to extend our gratitude to these brave men and women,” said Sunnee O’Rork,
executive director of the i.d.e.a. Museum. “We hope free admission to veterans allows them to make heartfelt memories with their families at our museum.”

The museum lists upcoming holiday closures and special hours online. The next holiday closure is Thanksgiving, Nov. 22. Regular hours resume Friday, Nov. 23.
Additionally, the museum will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday and Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. Please note the
museum is closed Mondays.

Currently, visitors can enjoy Far Out: Our Solar System, featuring art, a virtualreality station and hands-on activities to help children of all ages learn more about
the moon, planets and space exploration. The exhibition runs through Jan. 20, 2019.

Guests also are encouraged to create, design and build within popular exhibits, such as Rigamajig, iArt and Design Our World, in the HUB Galley. Younger guests
will enjoy playing with imagination and creating in ArtVille, a socks-only play space aimed at ages 4 and under, which now features a library, café and vet clinic.
