Join fellow Girl Scouts to learn about recycling from the experts while having fun.  Watch a PowerPoint presentation, play fun interactive games, identify and discuss recyclable items and learn how Girl Scouts can do their part and recycle.

Discover the secret to becoming resourceful by learning about Clover’s story.  Visit our Atrium and learn ways to garden using our resources wisely and then make a collage using recycled materials.

Brownie STEM Innovation Badge
Explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Math during this fun filled morning of investigating real-world innovations. Examine various STEM skills to gain a new perspective on the world, then join us for fun educational activities while expressing thoughts verbally, in writing and artistically.  From STEM to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).

Brownie Painting Badge            
Have fun earning your Painting Badge by creating an outdoor landscape, portrait or still life painting.  Discover how artists can display emotion through the use of colors, lines and shapes, then work cooperatively to design a mural that celebrates the great tradition of the Girl Scout program!

Brownie Home Scientist Badge

Perform experiments using common household items to find the solutions to various scientific inquiries. Through hands-on activities, girls can discover and explore the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math while learning to problem solve through the use of team building exercises, interactive activities and artistic expression.

Brownie Bugs Badge / STEM Naturalist Workshop
Design a bug poster labeling your bug with information specific to its type, before you arrive, research your favorite bug or choose from an assortment provided at the i.d.e.a. Museum!  Then, let your imagination take flight and construct your own bug.  Become an entomologist by viewing the bugs that come seeking shelter and food, then build and bring home an insect feeding station.

Junior Girl Scout Jeweler Badge

Make your own masterpiece you can wear!  Actively earn your Jeweler Badge in a Girl Scout-only environment.  Experiment with metal, bead making and tools of the trade. Discover how jewelry can be cultural and expressive.

Junior Girl Scout Drawing Badge
Make your own masterpiece while actively earning your Drawing Badge in a Girl Scout-only environment.  Experiment with drawing tools and shades of color while putting these elements into perspective, then discover how artists express themselves through art.

Registration Information

*Please be advised that this event is not a drop-off event, and each girl or group will need to follow the chaperone ratios as directed by Girl Scout guidelines. Each participating scout should be registered as 1 Class Registration.

Up to two Girl Scout leaders are free per troop. Additional chaperones and children will be required to pay $9 at the museum on the day of the workshop. All troop members must be accompanied by an adult. * Cancellation policy: No refunds after close of registration.
